DENNIS BROWN is a Vancouver-based painter who works primarily in oils. For all his paintings, the subject matter is taken directly from life. Since childhood he has been fascinated by art, following in the footsteps of his mother who was an artist. He has studied art at the University of British Columbia, the Emily Carr Academy of Art and Design, and the Vancouver Academy of Art. David in telemarkian paradise

DAVID MARMOREK is an aquatic ecologist, telemark back-country skier, mountaineer and proud father of two wonderful sons. He learned to enjoy poetry (mostly doggerel) from his Dad and Uncle Walter, and has gradually evolved from writing for friends’ celebrations to more reflective observations of nature and our place in it, seen through the lens of natural science.
